Researcher at Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (INGV, Rome)

His research activity is focused to ionospheric physics, monitoring and modeling, particularly based on ionosonde data. He developed a regional 3D ionospheric model suitable to be adapted to actual conditions through the assimilation of vertical and oblique ionograms data.

He was visiting scientist for six months in 2016 at National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) division, Boulder, Colorado (USA), working on tools for oblique ionograms analysis.

He took the PhD in Physics in 2018 and is currently research fellow at INGV, working on the fields of Space Weather and lithosphere-ionosphere coupling.

Other interests are ionospheric ray-tracing techniques, ionospheric irregularities, wavelike structures, and ionospheric effect of particular events such as solar eclipses and geomagnetic storms.
