A recent study of climatological physical variables, i.e. skin temperature, water vapor and ozone, preceding several Central Italy Earthquakes, has showed a significant statistical correlation with earthquakes (Piscini et al., PAGeoph 2017). In that paper it was introduced the CAPRI (Climatological Analysis for seismic PRecursor Identification) algorithm that proposes a robust procedure to analyse climatological data in order to better identify the potential climatological precursors of great earthquakes. The work will show a systematic analysis of a dozen case studies of M6+ earthquakes in the world. The results show that, most of the time, there is a synchronicity of the different climatological parameters forming a chain of processes pointing toward the imminent earthquakes.
